9.4 Function Introduction

9.4.1 4G Data Usage Management

image 986

The traffic usage of our attached SlM card can be checked here(we offer 100m traffic for free); in addition, you can purchase the corresponding data package according to your needs to maintain daily traffic usage of your camera (you can click “my order” to view the purchase history).

When will the camera consume traffic:

1. When you remotely watch the real-time images of the camera in real time, it will consume traffic.

2. When the camera detects and records, it will consume traffic.

3. When you use cloud storage instead of SD card storage, additional traffic will be consumed because the content of the detection record still needs to be uploaded to the cloud.

4. When setting up a camera in the app, a small amount of traffic will be consumed.

Note:

1. Using cloud storage will consume a lot of your traffic; in addition to the traffic consumption of recording videos, it will also consume the cost of uploading videos to the database. Therefore, compared with users who use SD cards to store. Using cloud storage will consume twice the traffic. So we recommend you use $D card storage.

2. The amount of traffic spent depends on the clarity of your video, video duration, real-time viewing time, etc. Please pay attention to the traffic consumption during use so as to avoid the camera not working properly due to the exhaustion of traffic, which will threaten your property’s safety.

9.4.2 Night Vision Setting

Setting Path: Camera Setting – image Settings – Full Color Mode

image 987

1. Intelligent Vision: The default is black-and-white night vision at night (when you view the real-time video in the app); the white light will only turn on when a moving object or person is detected and record a colorful night video.

2. Full-Color Night Vision: The white light will stay on at night, so whenever you view a live video in the app, it will be a colorful night video.

3. Black and White Night Vision: if you don’t want the white light to be on, please note that when switching to black and white night vision, you must first turn off the sound and light alarm or only choose to turn on the sound alarm. Otherwise it will be affected by the sound and light alarm. When there are people, the camera will still turn on the white light.

9.4.3 Video Encryption Setting

Setting Path: Camera Setting – Video Encryption

image 988

You can set up another password protection here. After setting the password, you need to enter the password to play back the video in the app and the video in the doud storage so that only you can watch your video.

Note: Since the SD card storage way is limited by the type of SD card, the current password cannot guarantee that the video in the SD cord is also protected by the password.

9.4.4 Alarm Management

Setting Path: Camera Setting – Alarm Management

image 989
1Turn on/off the motion detection.
2You can select the detection sensitivity to meet your need
3You can select the working mode of this camera.
4You can customize the time period that you need alarm notifications.
5You can choose an area that is important to you to detect thereby filtering out other invalid alerts.
6Turn on the sound and light alarm; you can choose one of the three according to your needs as your night defense.

Custom Mode of the Working Mode

Here, you can choose to adjust the following:

  1. Humanoid detection: Choose to turn on or off humanoid detection (day and night can be set separately).
  2. Sensitivity adjustment: You can choose to adjust the sensitivity of humanoid detection.
  3. Recording Time: You can choose how long the camera will record when a person is detected. (10s-30s)
  4. Recording interval: When you set a recording interval (for example, two minutes), then after you detect and record once, the camera will not record in the next two minutes even if people are continuously detected, so please choose the recording interval carefully.

PIR Sensor Detection Range

The PlR detection range can be customized to meet your specific needs. You may refer to the following table to set it up in DeviceSettings via the COOAU Cam App.

10. Charge the Camera

It is recommended to charge the camera battery for 6-8 hours before using it for the first time.

1. Charge the camera with a standard and high-quality 5V power adapter (not included).

image 990

2. Use the solar panel to charge the camera continuously,

image 991

Tip: After connecting, you can check the charging status at any time in the “COOAU Cam” APP.

1l.Install the Camera

11.1 Notes before installation:

.Install the camera 2-3 meters(7-10 ft) above ground. The detection range of the motion sensor would be maximized at such a height.

.For effective motion detection, please install the camera anguarly.

image 992

NOTE: if a moving object approaches the PlR sensor vertically, the camera may fail to detect motion.

11.2How to install it:

1. Select the installation location. (You could choose to install it on the wall or ceiling/eave.)

2. Use the Installation Guide in the App to diagnose the signal strength of your Wi-Finetwork. (It is suggested that you install the camera in a place that has a strong Wi-Fi signal so that this camera can work well for you.)

3. Use a power drill and screws to fix the bracket on the wall. It is suggested to install this camera at 2.4 -3m from the ground.

4. Clip the camera into the bracket, and please make sure to insert the camera firmly into the bracket (you can hear a ‘click”)

5. To remove the camera, it is easy to separate the camera from the stand with the aid of a slender tool that can be pried from the bottom of the stand, as shown in the picture.

image 993

Note: The battery of our camera is located where the bracket is attached to the camera; please do not nail it inwards from the outside as this will damage the battery, causing it to burn.

image 994

1. Ceiling Mounting (Only need two screws to secure the top of the bracket.):

image 995

2. Wall Mounting (You only need three screws to secure the side of the bracket.)
